Ramaria/Coral Mushrooms

Here are a few of the shots from the slideshow since I am rebuilding it

I discovered these lovely mushrooms out back on one walk a few years back and recognized immediately that they looked like coral from the ocean. I had never known, nor seen them before but started looking for them. The next year I found more and even groups of them which was exciting.

There are 200 species in this genus 'ramaria' so I am not trying to set identifications to each type I have photographed. There is Ramaria formosa, which might be one of them, or Ramaria stricta, or one of the species on this group of featured photos.

NOTE: this and many of the slideshows and headings might not work right now since flash player has been discontinued. I will endeavor to reconstruct new ones for this and all my other websites but it will take awhile. Please check back at some time in the future. Thank you for your patience, Kay
